What is the Factory Production Control?
Factory production control, as the name suggests, is a system aimed at ensuring a uniform, standardized and correct method of controlling the processes occurring in our organization. In order to provide our customers with products of the highest quality parameters, we must ensure appropriate control (in the sense of the normative – verification and validation) of the products. How can this be done? How can this be achieved?
The implementation of this system is based on the requirements of ISO 9001. Enterprises with a quality management certificate automatically meet the requirements for the FPC system. Other organizations wishing to implement a factory production control system must rely on the ISO 9001 guidelines.
Posiadając wdrożony system zakładowej kontroli produkcji zapewniamy naszej organizacji:
- Meeting the legal requirements in force in our country – few know about it, but having a factory production control within the meaning of the Act on the Conformity Assessment System – is obligatory FOR EVERY MANUFACTURER OF CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS.So, regardless of whether we mark our products with the CE mark in terms of the CPD directive, or with the construction mark – we must have an implemented (sometimes even certified) factory production control system.
- Taking control over production, and thus reducing the defectiveness of the product. As everyone knows, time is money – thanks to the FPC system, we save on costs related to handling complaints or downtime of our machine park.
- Minimizing the number of customer complaints – thanks to the FPC, our products are subject to detailed verification and validation (control). The use of statistical techniques during quality control allows for the elimination of the majority of non-conforming products in our production plant.
- Increasing the company’s prestige – through the FPC certificate, we prove to our customers and suppliers that we are worthy business partners. Having implemented factory production control will prove our interest in the organization, a modern approach to management systems that improve our company!
Factory production control also means taking care of the safety of our employees – during the implementation, we place particular emphasis on matters related to health and safety, which results in increasing work safety. Reducing the accident rate means minimizing the risk associated with downtime in our production.
Factory production control and CE mark:
There is only one thing that comes to mind when combining these two themes. One word. RESPONSIBILITY. Pursuant to the Act on the Conformity Assessment System, the regulations established by the Act, as well as the construction directive CPD 89/106 / EEC, each manufacturer of a construction product must have a factory production control system implemented in his plant.
There are two types of FPC – certified and uncertified.
Which type of FPC do you need to have?
It depends on the conformity assessment system that is assigned to evaluate your product. The higher the requirements for a product, the more likely it is that you will have to apply for your FPC certification. These dependencies are presented in the table below:
Systemy oceny zgodności | Factory production control |
---|---|
4 | uncertified |
3 | uncertified |
2 | certified (initial inspection) |
2+ | certified (initial inspection+supervision) |
1 | certified (initial inspection+supervision) |
1+ | certified (initial inspection+supervision+survey of samples in the factory) |
