Which products must be labeled?

In fact, the vast majority of the products must be marked with the CE mark. Basically, it would be easier to mention the products that do not bear the CE marking. These are: food, cosmetics, packaging, the simplest furniture and a small group of products described in the exclusions of the New Approach Directives.

Producer / Importer – if you are dealing with one of the products listed below, you are legally responsible for these products within the EU and you must complete the conformity assessment procedure. List of products that must be CE marked:

  • Construction products
  • Machinery
  • Electrical equipment
  • Pressure equipment and pressure tanks
  • Toys
  • Personal Protective Equipment (including work clothes, masks, work glasses, etc.)
  • Medical products
  • Radio equipment
  • Measuring instruments
  • Devices burning gaseous fuels
  • Mediterranean and sea yachts
  • Cranes
