Quality management system guide – How to implement ISO 9001: 2015?
There are a few things you need to know to answer this question.
- You can implement the quality management system in the entire company or in part of it (but I do not recommend the latter).
- The system implemented throughout the company does not have to be fully certified, you can only certify parts of it. This lowers the costs of certification, because the certification bodies calculate the price primarily on the number of employees and the number of locations.
To sum up: I recommend implementing the system throughout the company, and certifying only the part of it that is required by customers.
We define the scope of the system by specifying:
- Locations – what addresses should your system cover. When specifying a location, also select whether this location is subject to certification.
- Scopes of activity in those locations that will be covered by the system. Also select here the scope which will be certified. List what you are doing. You do not need to enter NACE codes.
You include this information in the quality manual or in the guide to the quality management system. Additionally, issue an ordince including defined scope of the system. An example of an implementation declaration can be found below.
